Role Overview:

The Pet Customer Service Supervisor will provide outstanding service to pet parents while embodying PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategies. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the pet parent experience through various initiatives while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and associate engagement throughout the store.

Core Responsibilities:

  • People Development: Mentor and coach associates through training and onboarding, provide constructive feedback for performance evaluations, assist with daily operations, and address any concerns.
  • Enhanced Store Experience: Guarantee an excellent distribution of services including pet adoptions and sales, promote engaging store events, and ensure adherence to store policies and procedures.
  • Operational Management: Safeguard the wellbeing of associates, pets, and pet parents while addressing health concerns promptly, maintain store cleanliness, and assist with inventory assessments.
  • Customer Engagement and Sales: Interact with customers to promote services and products effectively, facilitate a seamless pickup experience for online orders.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other departments and fulfill additional duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail customer-focused environment.
  • Leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Full-time availability with flexible hours for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in computer applications with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and possess strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
  • Willingness to work amid live animals and typical retail noise and conditions.
