Job Description

The ASU College of Arts and Humanities is currently running three oral history projects (Oral History • Angelo State University). These projects focus on recording interviews with West Texans from the Vietnam War generation, including both veterans and civilians. The interviews-along with digitized historical materials such as photographs, letters, and service documents-will be preserved and made accessible to students, researchers, and the general public through the ASU Digital Repository.

Under the direct supervision of faculty, student workers will assist with a variety of tasks, including:

• Scheduling, conducting, transcribing, and editing oral history interviews
• Digitizing historical materials such as photographs, letters, and service records
• Creating interpretive materials, including online exhibits
• Supporting additional activities related to the oral history projects

Required Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.

Preferred Qualifications

• College of Arts and Humanities Majors

Physical Demands

• Sitting, Walking; Extensive Computer Use

Salary
$13.00 / hour
