Sr Component Engineering Manager
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sr Component Engineering Manager, to join our Biosense Webster team in San Angelo, TX.

This position advises and coordinates all components activities and programs within the Engineering area. Responsible for participating in the development and implementation of transfer plans. Develops, maintains, and improves all Business Processes under your supervision. Participates in day-to-day activities with responsibility in the production of products at the lowest cost, consistent with quality control specifications and production schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the technical projects of suppliers around capacity, capability, and maintenance to improve supplier delivery, quality, and cost.
- Providing technical guidance approval/validation of changes/improvements in supplier processes.
- Providing technical support for the resolution of component quality issues.
- Resolving tooling requirements to maintain component supply.
- Overseeing technical execution of projects and providing comprehensive technical advice.
- Facilitating resolution of complex technical and operational problems.
- Promoting innovation initiatives for new products and ideas.
- Reviewing and approving user documentation to verify compliance to technical specifications and standards.
- Communicating with internal and external partners to coordinate and implement project plans.
- Assigning tasks according to projected scopes including compliance and quality improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification, and launch preparation.
- Monitoring the smooth execution of plans and programs at lower levels and multi-functional.
- Allocating the proper level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Ensuring departmental and company compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- The supervision it receives is essentially administrative, with assignments, objectives, and limits given in general terms.
- He/She has full technical and administrative responsibility to interpret, organize, complete, and coordinate their areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring the introduction of new products in compliance with operational G&O.
- Developing all capital investment and operational expense budgets that support business needs. Providing analysis of variance and corrective actions.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to current policies and procedures as they apply to present business needs.
- Providing and establishing an appropriate climate for operation within the business unit through the implementation of projects related to continuous improvement and in compliance with regulations that apply to all aspects of the business.
- Making decisions based on an understanding of multiple departments and the relationship between them.
- Managing the operation to ensure the achievement of CIP and COGS initiatives.
- Providing leadership to meet the challenges of Diversity.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of environmental, safety, and health programs.
Education: A minimum of a bachelors Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
Experience and skills:
Required:
- 8+ years of business experience
- Experience with talent hiring and development
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in bridging technical and business fields, evaluating, and resolving appropriate risks
- Quality and compliance mentality
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving finds innovative ways to apply engineering principles and drives efficiencies
- Experience leading projects and demonstrated project leadership abilities
Preferred:
- Experience in fast-paced early development environments
- Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field is preferred
- Influencing lead multi-functional teams and people to achieve consensus and optimized results
