Position Overview:

As a Temporary Store Clerk, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers. Your role includes restocking merchandise, assisting customers, and ensuring the store is welcoming and organized. You'll also play a vital part in maximizing our profitability and customer satisfaction while safeguarding company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload and unpack merchandise deliveries.
• Follow company procedures to process and store items efficiently.
• Build engaging merchandise displays to enhance customer experience.
• Restock and maintain organized shelves with rotated merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering inquiries.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and trash removal.
• Greet each customer warmly to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Operate the cash register, ensuring accurate transactions and payment processing.
• Support ordering of merchandise when needed.
• Help set up displays and maintain the front end of the store.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and commitment to a safe workplace.
• Ability to follow merchandising guidelines and plan-o-grams.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures and mathematical skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate cash register systems.

Work Experience & Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
