Manages a variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure efficient operation of the clinical laboratories. Position Specific Essential Functions Title and Definition Clinical Management Assures delivery of quality services for patients Consults with medical, nursing and administrative staff as necessary. Develops new techniques to meet current needs. Identifies problems related to clinical practice or operating procedures and develops appropriate plan of correction. Identify opportunities to improve patient care processes and introduce new innovations in nursing practice. Manages case load and staff hours to meet the needs of the patients and hospital. Monitors data to ensure appropriate patient care standards are met; identify trends and implement interventions to achieve the clinical outcomes established for the unit(s). Reviews department performance, effects changes as needed to improve services to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
