Job Details

We are currently seeking:

A custodian to join our team. In this role, you will maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the building and grounds; support the overall appearance and functionality of the premises and ensure a hygienic and welcoming space for employees and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Cleaning and sanitizing designated areas within the building, including hallways, offices, restrooms, break room, and common areas.
2. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, furniture, and fixtures.
3. Emptying trash bins and replacing liners in all areas of the facility.
4. Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring they are in good working condition.
5. Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor or facilities manager.
6. Replenishing restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
7. Cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as required.
8. Following all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk of accidents and enhance the safety of employees and visitors.
9. Providing support for special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning or post-construction cleaning.

Requirements and Skills:

• Performing custodial or janitorial services.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Reliable, punctual ability to work independently.
• Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. One year of experience in janitorial work is preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver License with a good driving record.
• Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors; required to perform moderate physical work, and lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
