Purpose of Position: The Shop Janitor keeps buildings clean and in an orderly condition.

Supervises: N/A

Essential Job Functions:
• Cleans building floors by sweeping and mopping them.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Services, cleans the service facility.
• Notifies General Manager concerning the need for major repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/ Abilities:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisor, and co-worker.

Preferred Education:
• Less than high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Preferred Experience:
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
