The San Angelo Machine Shop Facilitator will own driving and innovation and opportunities to improve customer service that deliver machine shop services and capabilities. This person will supervise all machine shop functions including but not limited to: inter-site cross charges for parts, raw material ordering (e.g. blanks, end mills, electrode wire, aluminum, etc.), parts scheduling, equipment training, continuous improvement design support and new machining technology development.

Key Responsibilities:
Understands and adheres to Ethicon environmental and safety policies/guidelines, J&J Pollution Prevention Goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
Provide the first level of supervision in a machine shop. Supervises in accordance with established policies and methods to meet production commitments.
Monitor and communicate inter-site cross-charges for parts' status.
Monitor spending on materials, parts, equipment repairs, etc. to ensure spending does not exceed commitments for inter-site cross-charges.
Manages part fabrication scheduling to ensure tooling and parts requirements are met for customer sites.
Supports continuous improvement by helping in the improvement of the design/drawings of machine shop fabricated parts.
Assigns duties and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required.
Monitors work operations and employee performance.
Responsible for the safety of shift members.
Works under general supervision, with responsibility to make decisions to meet operational objectives.
Provides training for new associates as required.
Provides guidance/support for new engineers as required.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies. (for example, ISO 13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001). This includes, but is not limited to, validation documents, NCR/CAPA/Internal audit investigations, Validation Master Plan (VMP) activities and any other applicable quality system task.
Performs other duties assigned by supervisor/manager as needed.
**Qualifications**
Required Skills:
+ B.S. degree or equivalent in technical, business, logistics or engineering
+ 3 or more years' experience as a facilitator/supervisor
+ 5 or more years of business experience
+ Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
+ Experience prioritizing across multiple imperatives and strategies
+ Self-starter with ability to lead independently.
+ Leadership focused management
+ Outstanding attention to detail
+ Knowledge in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates
+ Proficient in English

+ Engineering degree
+ Successful project management experience
