Description
Temporary Cashier- Howard College Bookstore, San Angelo Campus
Assist in tracking and maintaining adequate inventory levels; check in, price and display, supplies and general merchandise and assist customers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Provide good customer service both in the store and on the telephone.
2. Participate in physical inventory counts.
3. Ensure markups/markdowns and price changes are accurately recorded.
4. Monitor promotions, out-of-stock items, defective merchandise and inform the appropriate person of status.
5. Follow up on special orders notifying customers of stock arrivals or any problems.
6. Advise supervisor of current marketing trends.
7. Keep the selling area clean and neat at all times.
8. Operate the cash register following the Policy and Procedures.
9. Responsibilities for other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
0-6 months experience as a clerk or cashier.
EDUCATION:
High School Degree or equivalent. College course experience preferred.
